I would like to start by saying thank you to you our customers over the many years for keeping Deluxe Dye Works running strong! Without you we would not have been around for over a century now.

Our Story:
Deluxe Dye Works & Area Rug Cleaners started in the south of France by our great grandfather and patriarch of the Heymann family. He started a small dye house in 1890, for clothing and feathers only. The business grew and was moved to California in 1912. Our first location was in Downtown San Jose on E. Santa Clara Street where, at that time, we introduced area rug cleaning to our already existing dye business. Over the years this too grew & we moved to a new location on 30th Street in the late 1940’s. We continued business at this location until our next and final location on North 4th Street in 1954. Deluxe Dye Works & Area Rug Cleaners is proudly & successfully run by Greg & Renee Heymann. Four generations strong.

Again, we could have not done it without you “our generations of loyal customers” coming back to us for years. Deluxe Dye Works prides itself on quality. We treat every individual item as if it were our own and stand proudly behind our work. Thankfully through “word of mouth” and now, with the help of the internet and social media, our amazing reviews can be viewed by you, the public.

Deluxe Dye Works & Area Rug Cleaners works with many dry cleaners from the east to the west coast who provide the dye work, and also from the public from as far away as Hawaii. Customers love the idea that we can re-dye their favorite jeans or blouse that have faded or become spotted for minimal cost.

People are always amazed that we can clean their feather pillows. We use a specialized germ-killing machine that kills bacteria, sanitizes, and deodorizes the feathers. They are then placed in a fresh, new casing.
